# Task detail

> Instructions, files, agent activity, and workflow context

## Header actions

Status actions come from the API (green for positive moves like **Restore** / **Retry**, red for **Cancel**). Secondary actions such as **Move to backlog** use a neutral border style.

## Instructions

* Markdown editor for description (minimum comfortable height, preview matches editor)
* Editable in **Backlog** and **Blocked**; in **Inbox** only when no agent is assigned
* Locked while **In progress**, **Done**, or **Failed** (unless policy allows)

## Agent card

Shows agent name, model, **IDLE / RUNNING / OFFLINE**, and **Unassign** when allowed. After retries or backlog moves, refresh so instructions match what the Bridge actually has.

## Input files and artifacts

* **Input files** — uploaded or inherited from a workflow predecessor
* **Output / workspace files** — written under the task folder on the Bridge; UI updates via events and polling

## Workflow context

When the task belongs to a run:

* **Linked workflow** chip links to the designer (sidebar pipeline card hidden on detail)
* **Linked predecessor tasks** only when step metadata includes activation rules

## Blocked tasks

If the agent is blocked without clear instructions, the UI should still show a **reason**. Fix credentials or instructions, then **Retry** or move to backlog.

## Archiving from detail

Archiving a pipeline task from detail refreshes in place to **Archived** (no forced navigate back). **Cancelled** tasks in active pipelines can still reach **Archived** when policy allows.
